About the event
Blenheim Palace is a country house in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England. It is the seat of the Dukes of Marlborough and the only non-royal, non-episcopal country house in England to hold the title of palace. The palace, one of England's largest houses, was built between 1705 and 1722, and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
Sir Winston Churchill, the famous prime minister was born at Blenheim Palace in 1874. Grandson of the 7th Duke, he was also a close friend of the 9th Duke and Duchess. Winston spent a considerable amount of time at the Palace throughout his life and proposed to his wife Clementine in the Temple of Diana.
After the visit of the palace, we will visit the absolutely beautiful town of Woodstock, another unesco world heritage site where you camera will be needed before we head for a hike in the park and surrounding woods. A day out where we will step in history and beauty.
