About the event

These woods on the doorstep of the Jurassic Coast have been baptised as the "New Forest" in the 11th century by William the Conqueror who had designated the area as his private hunting ground and a Royal Forest.

Up to these days, herds of red and fallow deer roam one of the largest pasture and heath in he country alongside wild horses and many rare birds such as the shy European nightmare, most owls that can be found in the country, hen barriers or honey buzzards.

We will walk through ancient woods, estuaries, along the coast and through the pretty village of Beaulieu before we stop for a well deserved meal or a cupa at pub or jump on the train back for those who wish towell-deserved.
