The Long Man of Wilmington to the coast, Polegate to Seaford

Let's take this long hike filled with beauties and history.

We will walk the hills and woodlands that surround the Long Man, a chalk figure whose origins are still uncertain.

First thought to be from the Iron Age, scientists now believe that it might have been carved in the 16th century.

Also called the Green Man or the Wilmington Giant, walking by its foot surely allows your imagination to travel into a wonderful world of giants and fantastic creatures.

The top of the hill on a clear sky will allow us to have a view of the sea that is located about four miles and that we will reach after a wonderful view of the Cuckmere meanders, one of my favourite postcard views in the country.

We will finish our hike on the cliff top with a view of the beautiful Seven Sisters Cliffs.

This hike is demanding, I will not lie to you, but the views that will unfold are really worth it, trust me!

The fee is non-refundable, but you may resell and you can try to find someone to take your place.

About £25 in cash for the train.

We will buy a group return ticket at the station for those who wish to get a 34% group discount.

WHAT TO BRING:

Waterproof shoes for the hike, preferably hiking shoes, otherwise good trainers;

Weather appropriate clothes, including waterproofs if there is a chance of rain;

Water bottle;

Packed lunch and snacks.

Our trips will not be cancelled due to weather conditions so please ensure that you do wear and carry appropriate clothing. 😄

2: Our trips are only refundable up to 30 days before departure, if you wish to cancel after that, you will be offered a transfer to another trip for the same price or you may resell your slot to somebody else.

3: If we do cancel the entirety of the trip on our side, you will be fully refunded
