The Cotswolds: Bradford-on-Avon to Bath, Avon Canal day trip

The Kennet and Avon Canal hike and its Roman towns.

We will begin our trip with a short visit to the city centre of Bradford-On-Avon, 17th Century buildings remain intact in every corner of this fairytale town where was once located a Roman villa and its settlements.

The old chapel that stands on the bridge was turned in the early 18th century into a 'town lockup', a place where the annoying people in the town were locked up for the night or longer allowing the other people to go about their lives without having to deal with some naughty people.

Why did they get rid of those again?

The hike will start once we have reached the canal. Our journey will be picturesque, peaceful and we will follow this romantic path to the not least impressive city of Bath.
